Laughing Boy

today we went to the Horse Sanctuary at Speen, to see the man with the bag, who was appearing by special request at the last open day of the year. The home is a charitable organisation and there are many inmates. They include retired members of various police forces as well some horses or donkeys who have been taken away from owners because of mistreatment. We went with the four 'kids' and it was a grand day, despite being very cold. The man seemed to have lost weight from the last time I saw him but despite this he was well received by lots of young children who sat on his knee in his grotto after the procession. (see extra).

After a coffee to warm us up we came home the quicker route rather than the long narrow route we took to get there.
