Church in Chamonix

Today we hired a van to drive to Chamonix in France to pick up a sofa. It ended up being an adventurous journey over the Col de Forclaz as there was still snow on the road. It was a stunning drive though.

I’d forgotten that Chamonix doesn’t get a lot of sun at this time of the year due to the high mountains that surround it so there wasn’t any sun before 12. We had a wander round before driving back and it was great to see the village in the sun shine.

The main photo is of the church, the first extra shows the river flowing through Chamonix and the second extra is of the mountain guides office because I loved the eye catching paintings on the wall outside it.
