Fern Leaf

A quiet day, relatively. We spent the morning at 'home' while my cousin was at work and then ventured out in the afternoon. I had been to this place before on a previous trip, but William Ricketts Sanctuary was as interesting as ever. It is almost wild bush but with strange aboriginal style sculptures scattered around. I was drawn to the play of light and shade, especially on the many ferns, ranging from high contrast to muted shades.

This evening my aunt and uncle have been round and we've all had a meal together with lots of chat and memories. More family fun tomorrow when my cousin's children and grandchildren will also be here for a lunch time BBQ.

It will be hard leaving on Tuesday!
