What is this?!

Today something strange occurred. Very very strange. 

There was a big ball in the sky that glowed brightly orange and yellow for hour after hour. 

The sky appeared to be a blue colour. 

The air seemed to be dry. 

Thick crispy frost covered the grass perfectly. 

Help! I thought the sky was always grey and your vision always impaired by fog. I was under the impression the air was always damp or filled with raindrops. 

I'm delighted it's not!
