Shottery

Ann was out today seeing a friend so after lunch I took a walk to Shottery and Anne Hathaway's Cottage. In contrast to yesterday the weather was clear and sunny, very cold though, I needed my thick coat.

It was very muddy along Shottery Brook Walk and a bit wet under foot at the cottage so I didn't get into the woods or sculpture arboretum.  Being Flower Friday I looked round for any; virtually nothing in bloom so I scrapped that idea and pictured trees, leaves and the large wicker seat in the grounds (which I've blipped previously, but never mind).
