Blackburn

This is a photo of Blackburn cathedral and the lovely Christmas tree with my daughter Maria standing to the left of it. She has come home for my birthday which is tomorrow.
We went into town on the train and spent a good two hours browsing and shopping, trying on Winter coats in Primark and Debenhams, buying Christmas presents and getting her glasses re adjusted, which was done at Boots D&A by an efficient assistant.
It was perfect shopping weather, sunny and a clear blue sky, with a little frost still around all day. Town was not too busy for Black Friday, as people are buying bargains online.
With our treats from M&S and a snow globe from Wilko, we had a snack at the cathedral cafe before returning home on the Colne train to Rishton, to our cuddly cat Arthur where we are watching The Crown together now.
