Glorious sunshine
After the continuous rain of the past few days I was so pleased to see blue skies this morning, I just had to photograph the good weather today! The trees are almost all bare now, and I liked the touch of golden yellow here where these trees are still clinging on to the last of their leaves.
The electrician arrived at 8am to fix a broken circuit and solve another problem, and I was pleased he was not there very long so that I could get out and go for a walk in the sunshine. The woods are horribly muddy at the moment so you have to choose where you walk quite carefully.
The good weather lasted until I got home, had some coffee, and then as I set out to do some errands it started raining again :(
When I am out walking Xena I am thankful she does not run off too far, as there have been reports of dog thieves operating in our area. A few weeks back some dogs were stolen at Newlands Corner, and then on Sunday a woman walking her dog at our local woods noticed two very suspicious men lurking around and so she phoned the police. It is such a problem that the police immediately sent 3 cars to investigate and searched the area but the men had left. It is dreadful to think that this type of thing happens, despite dogs being microchipped it still seems that there is a market for stolen dogs.
Luke is coming home again tonight as he has taken tomorrow off to study for his accountancy exams on Friday. He also has an appointment tomorrow with the specialist sports physio to determine whether he is able to ski and play other contact sports again.
