The Best Laid Plans

Having dropped Sophie off at school, our plan was to drive to Weston-Super-Mare for a bracing walk along the prom; by the time we got there, the forecast "light rain showers" had developed into "persistent downpours", so we headed instead for the shops where we managed to more or less finish our C........ shopping, probably earlier than we've ever done. We're away for the first part of next month so we were keen to get as much of it done as possible before we go.

My anticipated moody shots of the beach / Grand Pier / Welsh coastline never materialised so instead it was an EWFB for Flower Friday. This one's hanging on gamely in a sheltered spot by the back door.
