kick start

yesterday continued much of the same..until i had a bit of a college work fail when i set off on the internet to find a map of the garden that i volunteer at along with some photos, in preparation for a class discussion on monday, only to log off after purchasing 2 pairs of shoes and a tea pot, completely forgetting what i had set out to do! what a nincompoop! the day ended with some (assumed drunk) texts from richard who is just about to move to iraq...today i made the mistake of looking at wikitravel to learn a bit more about where he was heading..with the words "violence", "danger" and "kidnapping" sticking in my mind, and it advising to be prepared to be travelling in a war zone, having an armed guard and travelling in an armoured 4x4! i'm sure he will be fine, right?! it's good to know that for someone who hasn't been anywhere more diverse than belgium, that he knows what he is getting himself into! hmmm!
this pic is of a newspaper cutting plus post it note that my mum sent me (my neighbour had wedged it in my door) about an assistant gardener job that sounds just like what i am aiming for :-) although i am not experienced enough for such a position, it is a good kick start to get me working on my cv and to get finding out how i can get closer to getting a job like this! thanks mum :-)
