A Hoy Stravaig
Went to Sandybraes in Rackwick today; last time there I was lining the rooms with plaster board - 44 years ago.
Great crisp views of all of Scotland's snowy hills across the Pentland Firth. There was an inordinately loud land-sea on Rackwick beach. After 9 miles we were nearing base when a massive white tailed eagle struck up and flew towards Quoys.
At the pier it was confirmed by the RSPB warden that the eagle is the chick born in Hoy and newly returned. She has put on a huge amount of weight. Beyond oven-ready.
Jenny Agutter will soon be 67.
