Stromness Waterfront

High pressure - haven't seen an isobar for days. Cloudless nights but no aurora. Had to scrape the ice off the screen of my phone this morning.

On arriving at our Stromness embarcation point crew member Jackie said I must be a good little sojer and go and see me mammy. So I did and got messages from the bakery and chemists for her. And so it was then all aboard; all three of us (onto a vessel that is designed for 74). I carried over a TV. Once onshore we raised the flag, lit the stove, and CMC made pot of soup. I read selected extracts to her of the Highway Code whilst she pared the tatties. Redwings in the garden, long-tailed ducks and wigeon in in the bay.
