Saddleback

A day on Tiri Tiri Matangi island today, a sanctuary for many of New Zealand's rare birds, including this saddleback. Together with kokako and stitchbird, they are incredibly difficult to photograph - usually found in thick vegetation making a clear shot a great challenge. I was happy to get a few cracks at this saddleback and look forward to visiting again.
