The Best till Last

Despite all the rain we've had, or maybe because of it, many of the trees are still holding on to their leaves. The Oaks are now colouring up nicely. Our monthly Wetland Bird Survey location has a fine range of trees, with deciduous and evergreen providing every conceivable Autumn shade, and we were lucky enough to get fine weather for our walk today. As I couldn't easily decide which one to go for, I'm putting another image in extras.
