chestnuts

'tis the season of roasted chestnut sellers in Istanbul as early evenings draw warm days to a close.  Today saw a successful shopping trip in the eternally busy Istiklal Caddisi with Caitlin on this very warm and sunny afternoon, followed by vittles in a couple of different bars before coming home via metro and taxi. This was after a very long morning of administrative paper work for the Model United Nations conference in the Hague at the end of January, where I will chaperone 24 students as I do every year.
