I spotted a space in the free parking area at Waterhead on my drive back from the supermarket in Windermere. With a view like this and a sprinkling of snow on the tops it was silly not to stop for some photos. 

The weather deteriorated in the afternoon but I did make time for a walk between the remaining domestic chores.
