A Porthole To The Sea, Ramsgate

Today started with a shortish run on a very bright but cold winter's morning. I ran through a copse that had a beautiful carpet of golden leaves. Unfortunately, this covered up numerous tree roots, one of which I didn't see and so I rather painfully turned over my ankle - ooouuuccchhh!
Even with a wee bit of a limp it was still a day off so I wasn't going to waste the day and therefore decided to go to Ramsgate - somewhere I hadn't been for many, many years - probably before I was a teenager.
It felt much colder when I got there, probably due to the northerly wind blowing in from the sea. Today's main shot was taken looking back along the promenade through a rather appropriate porthole.
The first two extra shots show both sides of the seafront - the first is from the marina and the second from the working harbour itself. The last two images were taken in the town centre, by that stage it was even colder and the sun had withdrawn behind clouds but I must stay I still loved my visit to Ramsgate. Even managed to fit in a big portion of chips sitting on the harbour wall before I left!
