Buchanan Arms Hotel

Having previously blipped both The Clachan and The Winnock Hotel as buildings of historical interest in the village of Drymen, I feel obliged to include the above iconic building.

It was originally a farm and an inn, and was acquired in 1860 by the 4th Duke of Montrose from the Buchanans of Drummakill.

The Buchanan Arms Hotel has for many years been a popular destination for holiday-makers, particularly golfers, and a traditional venue for special events like wedding receptions.
