Triangles

Another dreich, grey day, but at least not foggy like yesterday. Gill and I walked into Drymen for coffee in The Pottery. There was a cheery fire in the grate, above which stood the blackboard advertising today's specials.

Would you fancy a bowl of mushroom, garlic and sherry soup? We did, but the chef obviously hadn't made a big enough pot, because it was wiped off the board while we were still having coffee.

Last night we watched the dvd of "Quartet", which has a marvellous cast (Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Pauline Collins, Michael Gambon to name but a few) though not a great storyline, and we both felt that Billy Connolly ruined the whole film because, let's face it, the man can't act!

Other global problems were put on hold while we pontificated about the dubious merits of BC as an actor, so the world has yet to be put to rights. Sorry.

Gill has now gone back home, but there's always next time...
