<<< One Street: Trumpington High Street.

Trumpington High Street is somewhat dominated by Bidwells "Property Consultants" (the new name for estate agents, I guess). This is the end of their head office which curves away on the right, then there's the more recognisable, if huge, property showroom building somewhat further along.

The Village Sign, the design of which incorporates the figure of Sir Roger de Trumpington on horseback with a shield based on the brass of Sir Roger in Trumpington Church.

Maris Lane is the source of the name of the Maris Piper potato. The lane was the former location of the Plant Breeding Institute.

Quiet, potter'y day today - plenty of general tidying-up this morning including the puzzle of how to fit the DVD's back on the shelves which seem to have shrunk. E is dancing with the Mollies out at the Whittlesea strawbear festival, S is away with friends, J's gone out.
