Swan Loch..such grace..

This morning I took a short stroll through Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy. It has a small loch right in the middle which is home to a great variety of bird life, including this graceful swan.

According to the British Ornithological Union, fossil records suggest that Cygnus Olor (Mute Swan) is among the oldest bird species still extant, going back thousands of years.

It is a very grey day, but the grey waters were brightened, as was my stroll, but this magnificent bird.
