Not many left

The Plane tree has dropped most of its leaves now and they're lying in a leathery mass under the canopy, just inside the parkland beyond our garden. 

The tree has a preservation order on it but no-one told the ivy, which is smothering the trunk.  Some attempts to cut away the thick stems appears to have been made in years past but to no avail and it and the trunk are now permanently intertwined as the ivy continues its slow strangulation.
