Bailing Out Time

When C tried to wash the laundry on Friday the washer pump didn't work, leaving the the machine full of water. We went to the Appliance Depot and bought another refurbished washer, to be delivered on Wednesday. They will drop it off in the driveway and pick up the old one, which also came from the Depot, and will be repaired and recycled once again. 

I have the delightful task of moving the washers, using my trusty handcart. Needless to say, I did not want to haul all that trapped water up from the basement to street level, so I siphoned it out, a bucket at a time, with a little help from C. Her job was to ensure that the hose stayed in place while I hauled the water.
