Time For a Change
All my power tools are connected to my dust extraction system in the shop (first extra), but not all the dust gets captured. That’s why I have a two-stage air filter unit (second extra) hanging from the ceiling. Here’s proof of the need.
On the left is the primary filter I just removed. The replacement is next to it. This first stage captures particles as small as 5 microns. The second stage goes down to 1 micron. That’s very small — the thickness of a human hair is about 100 microns.
It may seem counterintuitive, but the smaller particles are more harmful to the respiratory system.
