Harvest officially finished .....

A frost this morning, so once I had fed everything I headed off down to near Dalhousie Castle to lift the last bale of straw that has been sitting forgotten about for the last month and a half. Despite the touch of frost the field was wet like everywhere else.
Called in at a neighbour on the way home to look at some bales of hay he has for sale as it’s not good enough for horses. Hopefully it will do as belly fill for some old suckler cows though.
An evening spent hauling junior around as he is back from uni for the night to go off to a friends house for a party. It’s a tough life being a student !
