Daisy and Ruby

Regular visitors to my journal will remember that my friends Pete and Carolyn, had to make the terrible decision to put Ruby to sleep last month, a situation made all the worse as we were all away in Scotland on holiday while the dogs were at home.

Next week Pete celebrates his birthday and Carolyn asked if it would be possible to 'make' a portrait of both of their labs. ( They lost Daisy a couple of years ago)

I have many photos of both of them, taken here while they stayed with me and while we've all been away in the Lakes together. However, none of them were taken as 'portraits' so I've spent a few days trawling through many images looking for ones suitable to use.

My blip is the finished portrait. It has been constructed from two separate images with multiple layers.

I know tears will be shed when I show them but I hope they love it as much as I do.
