Death Valley Days
I remember this television show from the 50's and 60's, and apparently it ran into the 70's, with a slew of famous hosts including Ronald Reagan and Rosemary DeCamp and their longstanding sponsor "20 Mule Team Borax".
We are still in Death Valley, and this morning we took a quick trip to one of the old Borax Mines. Outside the mine which can only be viewed from the exterior, is a double wagon and water tank that was pulled by the 20 mule-team well over 100 miles to the nearest railroad. I have included a shot of this in the extras. This is a well-aged screw and bolt that I thought would be perfect for the TIny Tuesday challenge, "something old."
After the mine, we drove through "20 Mule-team Canyon" which was a bit harrowing in our little rental car and better suited for a 4 wheel drive but provided more exceptional scenery. (also in extra) . Then, we started our drive back to Las Vegas and the happy little family.
I am slowly getting caught up. If you get a chance, have a look at my coyote shots from yesterday.
Thanks, Debbi, for hosting this month. Sorry for the late entry.
