Virtues & Vices

One of the displays in the Parliament this week ( there are a couple sponsored by members every week) has been from a Sikh Charity in Edinburgh.

Part of their presentation was these stones , containing the names of the five virtues and the five vices that the religion defines.

The virtues are Sat (truth), Daya (compassion), Santokh (contentment), Nimrata (humility), and Pyaar (love) and the vices kama (lust), krodh (wrath), lobh (greed), moh (attachment) and ahankar (entitlement)..
