Comforting Gertrude

The dog is glued to us because of all the fireworks.
Bertie & I had a good day today. We got the bus into town to get him a haircut. He giggled a lot & kissed & hugged the barber goodbye. We had coffee/juice in Nero & a man gave him his vanilla waifers which Bertie then shared with him once opened (big into sharing food atm) & a wander through the very old graveyard (spooky moment..a couple stopped to talk to him & ask what he was looking at and he said ‘a man! He’s dead!’ Well. Not thinking about that too much!’
He was in a super mood & a pleasure to spend time with. He’s picking up words so quickly it’s just amazing.
