Football's Coming Home!

This is Hamden Bowling club where crowdfunding has paid for a mural and plaque to celebrate the little known fact that this was the original Hampden football stadium and the location where apparently the modern passing football game was developed and exported to the world.

Apparently it has been discovered that the first international football stadium in the world was built on this site in 1873.   The plans were disciovered in the bowling club just a couple of years ago. 

It seems this was a golden age for Scottish Football which has gone steadily downhill from then!
