Santa and his Reindeer

Christmas Eve was filled with excitement. I traveled up to Retford after work for a week with the family. I arrived just in time for a festive supper; and to catch up on Santa's progress at NORAD control central (aka my brother and nephews' computer corner). After supper my sister-in-law surprised us all with video messages from Santa. Then came three very special phone calls, one to each of the boys (aged 3, 8 and 11) from Santa himself. The 3 year old was stunned and could barely speak, so I am not sure if Santa heard his responses. The 8 year old was so excited that he was beside himself; and at 11, well you're far too cool to show too much emotion! Next step - bed for the kids; but not before putting out a mince pie and Santa beer for Santa and a carrot for Rudolf (no one really cares about the others).
