All Saints Night

This is more like the "Halloween" I used to know back in Ireland as a kid. Rather than the ghosts, ghouls and other tomfoolery of today, it was a solemn time when we remembered the deceased and even prayed for their repose.
Here in Finland I witnessed no ghosts, no ghouls, no witches and absolutely no silliness. Instead, we went to the old Hameenlinna Graveyard and there lit candles on the graves of Kirsi's parents and Grandmother, just like hundreds and hundreds of others had done throughout the day.
What a sight!
