Counting the hours

Boat engines are serviced every 150 hours (equivalent to about 4500 miles at 30mph in a car).
The engine panel had a blank cover where the hour meter goes and the engine manufacturer wanted £80 odd plus VAT and delivery for a meter.
This one was £17.50 from Farnell.
Cut a hole in the blanking cover, two wires to the voltmeter in the next space along, sorted.
Another little job ticked off.

The gov said "isn't an hour meter called a clock?"
