These Boots are Made for Walking...

No, this is not my latest attire(!) - it's a Halloween decoration seen in "The Society Rooms" (Wetherspoons* pub, Macclesfield) - thanks as always to admirer for hosting Silly Saturday.
 
Today we began a little tour of the country visiting relatives and friends. After an early(ish) start we had a leisurely breakfast (and a long chat) with friends we've known for over 40 years who live at Riding Mill, near Corbridge - about 20 miles from Newcastle. Then we headed off for Macclesfield to stay the night and to visit my Editor's Mum in her care home. Tomorrow we'll be heading off to stay with my younger brother near Reading.
