Saturday
Right, I'll try and get this blip published on the day I took the pics.
Another busy day, I'm definitely going to take it easy tomorrow!
It was an early start as we took Tom to Coventry for a 10:30 appointment at Walsgrave Hospital. It's actually not called that anymore, I think it's something to do with Coventry and Warwickshire University, but everyone still refers to it as the Walsgrave. It was lashing down with rain but luckily the roads were fairly quiet as most sensible people were inside watching the rugby (well done SA).
It was then back for lunch before heading out again to the Playhouse for another presentation in the Literary Festival. This time it was David Parker talking about, and showing film clips of, Laurie Lee at the age of 80 reminiscing in the villages and landscape he lived in.
This evening we're out to the Washford Mill in Studley for a meal with Jo, James, Irma and Geoff.
The picture is a paper mache elephant that I spotted lurking by the side of the stage, the extra is a giraffe, it's a real menagerie here, and another book signing in the extras, this time David Parker with his book Down in the Valley: A Portrait of the Lanscape of Laurie Lee and DVD, Laurie Lee The Lost Recordings (of which we bought a copy).
