Long-eared owl

So I took my "big daddy" lens out for the afternoon walk, hoping to catch some sweet juncos foraging in the remaining snow. No birds of any kind in sight. Then as I was unsuccessfully trying to focus the long lens on some leaves poking out of the snow at my feet, I heard a jay screaming overhead. I was so excited that I focussed soley on the animated jay. Finally I saw the owl it was so animated about!
