first shot of the day

It was difficult to pick blips for today as I had so much variety, in the end I chose the first shot from our terrace before we even set off for the day. We have hired a car for a couple of days to do some exploring. Today we set off and the first stop was Los Gigantes (the first extra of the boat was taken there) the cliffs into the sea are spectacular. Then onto our main intended stop Masca. The pretty forgotten village at the foot of the Teno Massif and top of a gorge to the sea did not disappoint. It has only had a road to it since 1991 and what a road it is, hair-raising hairpin bends for miles, some can be seen in the 3rd extra photo. We spent some time at the village before driving further through the valleys out. As we reached the top of a rise to the NW of the island the temperature dropped and cloud was swirling into the valley. The scene in the 4th extra so reminded me of Skye for some reason. As we continued on to Garachica we were engulfed by clouded the temperature had dropped from 27*C to 18*C, how the weather changes in the north / south divide on this island. It was quite nice to drive back to the cloudless south and watch the sunset over the Plaza Del Duque again.
