Pumpkin Night...O Yes It's Pumpkin Night

With Halloween two days away, we met tonight to do some carving. There were only four of us. Unfortunately, S-I-L Doug was having a too-long day at work, and couldn't make it. 

Year after year, Merrick gets better and better with his pumpkins. He doesn't need no stinkin pattern...he just attacks the gourd with a little pumpkin saw. As for me? My carving skills are going in the other direction. Last year I made a witch that everyone thought was a pig, and this year wasn't much better. 

We're now watching our old Detroit Tiger Justin Verlander pitching for the Houston Astros in the World Series.
