Lace-cap Hydrangea

Today's the day ……………………….. to fade

This hydrangea was once a very deep - almost luminous - blue.  But with the passing season and the first frosts, it's now got a rather faded look.

Still beautiful though ……………………



PS And by a huge coincidence, I was photographing exactly the same thing six years ago.  Different plant - and still holding on to the blue!
