History

This piano , a baby grand, was used on the recording of Paul Simon's song Kodachrome, as part of the introduction to Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd and numerous other historic recordings. The walls were covered with LP sleeves all artists that have recorded here, including Rod Stewart Bob Dylan Lulu Emmylou Harris and many many more. I have been visiting the Muscle Shoals studios today, the famous home off the Muscle Shoals rhythm Section. The guide was young but incredibly knowledgeable, he also was a recording engineer and part time guitarist. He told us lots of stories about the music stars of my youth, including the fact the Keith Richards finished writing the song White Horses whilst sitting for several hours on the toilet you can see in the background of this picture. Definitely an excellent place the visit and well worth the $15 entrance fee
