November Ceremonies

Is the name given by the Military to the period encompassing the Acts of Remembrance and it starts with the First Poppy Laying.

A reasonably early start in order that Clare and I could meet friends for breakfast at Wetherspoons before the 1045 service.
Tom the usual Parade Marshal couldn’t make it so I was invited to take the parade.
A tremendous honour to read the both the Exhortation and the Kohima before planting a Poppy Cross on behalf of the Royal Naval Association, Falmouth.
Following the formal service Clare and I then laid a further seven Poppy Crosses for members of our respective families.
Seven Poppy Crosses that represent one families service across just four generations and does not include me (yet), Clare ex WRNS or Joshua who is currently serving.
