Back in Scotland

Sad to leave Ravenglass, but we will definitely be back.  Went to Maryport to have a look at the Maritime Museum.  Unfortunately it is closed on Mondays!  Hey ho!  We had a wander round the marina and a look at the boats, then to see the lovely Georgian square with its colourful painted grand houses.  An interesting place with lots of history, and friendly people.  

Unfortunately when we decided to leave the campervan wouldn't start.  A kind chap gave us the phone number of a garage and the guy who came out was great.  It's an intermittent fault but he was able to jump start it with his magic machine.  Next step Halfords and we bought one of our own!

Overnight over the border in Scotland, on an Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with fishing lakes, walks, birds, butterflies and I spied a mink!  It was a wonderful site, huge, and one other other van and a tent. So peaceful, just the odd fisherman sitting on the bank and the dogs at the house barking occasionally.  Lottie and I had a short walk, she had to keep stopping to check out all the amazing smells!
