Lazy Sunday
A proper lazy Sunday! Mike, Lottie and I went for a walk through the village and onto the beach. We chatted to other dog walkers, including a lovely woman called Eve, found bits of blue and white pottery and a headless lead soldier in a kilt, Lottie ran about and worried the seaweed then I made egg sandwiches for lunch followed by fruit cake!
In the afternoon I sat in the sun and read while Mike went back to have a better look round the railway museum. It was super, so relaxing to feel the sun again, no wind, just to sit and read in the middle of the day, with Lottie at my side. It is such a great place to be, perfect for Mike and for me.
In the evening we walked to the Pennington Arms. Very dog friendly! Eve and her husband and their greyhound Harry were there too. We had a lovely meal, a couple of glasses of wine and shared a pudding! We couldn't eat another bite! A very cold walk back to the site, black dark too. So glad we had electricity and could put the heater on when we got in the van!
