Sally Mair - Loving life

More Autumn funghi

Today was another Saturday spent in church as we had a bridge afternoon.
I got myself up and spent the first part of the morning making a couple of loaves of sandwiches, one of smoked salmon and cream cheese and the other brie with homemade cranberry sauce, two of my favourites. Our bridge afternoons are famous for the afternoon tea we serve in the break.
I took the sandwiches round to church then popped into the rectory to check on the central heating, to my delight I managed to get the controller to do what I wanted.
Back home again to pick up Colin and it was time to head off for our afternoon's bridge. The cards were average although Colin came 2nd and won a bottle of wine for his trouble. We play a Chicago movement so scores are individual.
We had a light tea this evening having gorged on sandwiches and some excellent home baking. We then had a quiet evening and watched part 1 of Guilt, which I had recorded the other night.. not quite sure what I think, I'll give episode 2 a go though. I spent far too much time working out where in Edinburgh various scenes were shot.
These toadstools are in the church garden and looking very healthy.
Walking was pathetic today only 4500 steps... Could do better, but not play bridge at the same time I suppose.
Looking forward to a long lie tomorrow, falling back is much better than springing forward!
