Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

An exciting day!

Well, the All Blacks didn’t get going at all - they were completely outplayed. Well done England - an epic performance and a well deserved win.

Archie went out with Becky at half time - he couldn’t bear watching the game any more (he was in his All Black coat). And then he went out again with Elizabeth at his usual time, after a wee wash and brush up of his muddy feet and beard. So he had a grand day out.

And so did we! We set off into town with the aim of lunch somewhere nice. JR suggested Baba's, where she's been a couple of times, but I haven’t, and it did not disappoint. Fabulous sharing plates, well chosen. https://baba.restaurant/

We then had a dander through town, and happened to be in the right place for Diwali celebrations -  dragon dancing, drummers and a pipe band/brass band combo, which was excellent. The dragon dancers and drummers were SO energetic! I think it continues this evening in the Gardens.

I took rather a LOT of photos (Extras) but whittled it down to these few. Spot the unintended selfie.

A coffee at Pret while waiting for the bus. What a grand day in town. Perfect autumn weather.

An extra hour of sleep tomorrow!
