It didn't get away!

As forecast a dull start with steady rain from late mirning.

Our friend Bill from Spain has come to visit for a couple of days before moving on to visit family and friends.   So lovely to see him again and catch up on all news from Almerimar.

We set off for a walk along the canal this morning as it started spitting a bit but the worst of the rain kept away until we were homeward bound.   We walked on the river side coming back, past the golf course and Ladywood lakes.   Here we were so lucky to see this angler weighing his catch.   A 22lb Pike.   He lifted the fish for us to see and Ianaged a couple if shots, unfortunately I only had my phone and the fish wad wriggling a bit so not the best picture.  

The Heron was on the towpath and we saw some swans flying overhead, plus in extras a narrowboat going down one of the locks.

So despite the weather an interesting walk.
