The Jumble Room

Tomorrow it will be seven years since I met the Minx and so to celebrate I have booked us a couple of nights at The Yan at Broadrayne, which was heartily recommended by Grace Dent a few weeks ago in The Observer.

This evening, though, we ate at The Jumble Room in Grasmere. I last ate here many years ago where the fantastic food was marred (only) slightly by the distracting presence of Sir Ian McKellan. 

On this occasion, however, I had eyes only for the Minx, and the restaurant and the food were, respectively, every bit as charming and delicious as I remember, resulting in a wonderful evening.
