Falling Business

golden morning break of day
sunlit panes of missing glass
thriving business sharp decline
footsteps deadened littered lost
falling fortunes vacant glaze


This was taken at a once prosperous Sylvester Hardware and Lumber supplier at the far end of our street. Owned and staffed forever by an old thin and taciturn New England family, it somehow remains open. I'm planning more shots outside and maybe inside too, if old Sam Sylvester will allow it. They still are the best place to get keys made. I'll be adding it to the One Street project as well.
