Not happy when I moved

The fire at the Convention Centre building site flared up again overnight, and spread to level below where it began. Warnings about being in the CBD were issued by Police. I just came home, as I do.

Then down to Western Springs Lake. which is very full. Of water. Seemed to be rather fewer birds. This solitary putangitangi duck (Paradise Shelduck)allowed me to get this photo, but as soon as I moved to the side (even though further away), it hopped/flew out into the lake a short way. I prefer this photo to those when it was swimming.
