Halloween fairyland
Our day to pick up Fiona from school…a few errands (including buying a skeleton cat that she named “Candy” and made a collar for…extra) and then on the way home we stopped in our neighborhood to see the halloween fairyland, that always delights with a seasonal display. We walk by it often. Hark, the owner was outside today! so Fiona got to meet Mr M, her Dad’s favorite science teacher in high school (early 80s) ! He asked if she liked going to the beach… something he taught many many kids about with lots of field trips. He has made the NW laminated field guides of salmon and trout, , mammals , invertebrates, water birds Garden plants etc that we all use as quick reference. Mac's field guides It’s his granddaughter who does the fairyland..she is younger than Fi, and looks all year for new little creatures…you have to look large to see them… We’ll look again at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We made some Mexican sugar skulls to get ready for Day of the Dead…will decorate next week…other extra. Here’s some directions. My 6 plastic molds were small
