Just chewin’ the cud....

A day of cattle work . Tagging calves in the morning, tagging more calves in the afternoon then got the vet out to PD the 14 cows that hadn’t calved yet. Ran the 10 that were in calf back to the field and shut the 4 yeld ones in a shed until I decide if they are for the chop or not.
Mr Broon from Murray Farmcare in to collect some bruised barley to feed his cattle with and left a nice wee selection of wine for borrowing my dung spreader . Much appreciated.
These 14 Hereford bulling heifers were quite content watching all the passing cow and calf action this afternoon. Hopefully it will be their turn this time next year !
